Telehealth Privacy

All telehealth sessions are conducted using secure, encrypted video platforms that meet Canadian healthcare privacy standards. To help protect your privacy during remote sessions:

  • Sessions are delivered through end-to-end encrypted video conferencing technology
  • Sessions are not recorded unless you provide explicit written consent
  • You are encouraged to participate from a private, quiet location where you feel comfortable
  • A secure, unique meeting link is generated for each session

Your Rights

Under PIPEDA and PHIPA, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal and health information held by the practice
  • Request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete information in your file
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and regulatory retention requirements
  • Withdraw consent for the collection, use, or disclosure of your information at any time, understanding this may affect our ability to provide services
  • File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe your privacy rights have been violated
