Treatment Modalities & Research

Evidence-based and emerging approaches to trauma treatment and mental wellness.

I offer a range of therapeutic modalities, each with its own evidence base and applications. Below you'll find an overview of each approach along with links to relevant research. I believe in informed consent and want you to understand the treatments available to you.

🧠

EMDR 2.0

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) 2.0 is an advanced evolution of standard EMDR, developed by Dr. Ad de Jongh and Dr. Suzy Matthijssen. It deliberately increases emotional, cognitive, and somatic activation using Working Memory Theory to accelerate trauma processing.

EMDR is endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO), American Psychiatric Association, and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as a first-line treatment for PTSD and trauma.

NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback

NeurOptimal® is a dynamical, non-linear neurofeedback system that provides information to your brain about its own activity, allowing it to self-optimize naturally. Unlike protocol-based neurofeedback, it doesn't push the brain in any direction—it simply mirrors.

Developed by Clinical Psychologists Drs. Val and Sue Brown, NeurOptimal® has been used in over 4 million sessions worldwide. It requires no diagnosis and has no known negative side effects.

Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Integration

Integration therapy helps you prepare for, process, and apply insights from psychedelic experiences in legal therapeutic contexts. Research shows that integration support significantly improves outcomes from psychedelic-assisted therapy.

I do not administer psychedelic substances. I provide integration support for those in clinical trials, ketamine therapy, legal retreats, or traditional ceremonial contexts.

Wearable Technology

Emerging wearable devices can support trauma therapy and nervous system regulation between sessions. These include HRV (heart rate variability) training devices, bilateral stimulation tappers for home EMDR support, and biofeedback wearables.

I can provide guidance on appropriate wearable technology to complement your treatment, help you interpret data, and integrate these tools into your overall care plan.
